This project marked a major milestone for K&S Marketing Ltd—it was the first-ever digital printing press installed in Libya and a defining achievement in our early years.

At the time, digital printing technology was virtually unknown in the region. Traditional 4-color offset printing was the norm, requiring a press plate production machine to engrave thin metal plates for each of the four colours. These plates had to be carefully aligned and adjusted on separate colour towers to achieve a final print, resulting in long setup times, high material waste, and inefficiencies, which are even more accentuated especially on small print runs.

When we evaluated AGOCO’s printing operations, we recognized that most of their work involved low-volume print runs of just a few hundred copies—making traditional 4 colour setup very inefficient and time consuming. Instead of following convention, we introduced cutting-edge digital printing technology, a true game-changer for their needs.

With this digital printing solution, laser technology temporarily transfers the design onto a printing drum, eliminating the need for metal plates entirely. This allowed AGOCO to:

· Print crisp, high-quality colour pages instantly, even single copies at a time.!

· Reduce waste and production time dramatically

· Print multi-page brochures in consecutive order, streamlining their workflow

This was a true revolution in the printing industry—offering speed, efficiency, and cost savings unlike anything before. By recognizing the opportunity to introduce new technology at the right time, we provided AGOCO with a ground breaking solution that transformed their printing operations and set the stage for the future of digital printing in the region.
